Annual street photography gallery from @womeninstreet, 2018 edition
I was attracted to this woman’s way of holding her baby, in a motherly protective way.
And the light was great. Orna Naor
Like Columbus I arrived to India , but … not to the right one. This Time Machine journey was a fascinating adventure ,especially my one exploring Escobar street it’s people and it’s accidents. Yulia Olshansky
I was there scouting for one of our photo tours and had been having a difficult time focusing, perhaps because there are just so many visual cues or because I was out of my element or maybe I was in too much of a hurry to get a good picture. In any case, 15min prior to this shot I realized that something was about to happen because there were several people outside their homes looking like they were anticipating something. I chatted to a group of ladies and they told me that they were about to inaugurate a new temple that honored women. The ladies in the picture are on the way to the ceremony and I love how dynamic, colorful and joyful the picture is, especially in a context that is India, where women are often disregarded and have few rights. I call this picture ‘ode to women’ Christelle Enquist
