Street photography gallery from @womeninstreet, curated by Elisa Tomaselli.
Elisa’s comments: I love that shot. The clown is totally absent from the rest of the world and in the same way the people around do not care about him. That’s like when we are with many people and we feel all alone, it could be one of our inner masks.
Elisa’s comments: A frame in a frame presents us two realities completely different. The bizarre character in the mirror invites us to the show that is about to go on stage. A very suggestive photo.
Elisa’s comments: Suggestive photo. Interesting expressions of the two characters, one satisfied and the other enchanted, they seem to greet their audience. The light projected on them before the curtain is closed.
Elisa’s comments: That shot is really cinematic.
Elisa’s comments: Great composition with more than one layer. The eye falls directly on the woman and her particular gesture. Is she acting? Is she dancing?
Elisa’s comments: The character sits on a cart in a very comfortable way, surrounded by pipes, lamps and various metal objects. This is a curious and cinematic photo. It should be a frame from a tv series.
Elisa’s comments: Very minimalist scene. I like the lights on the ceiling look like stage lights. I wonder who is the human being and who is the inanimate statue among the three characters. Who’s Who?!
Elisa’s comments: More than one layer, that’s a perfect mix of mix of situations. In the same place and at the same time each character seems to live on his own life.
Elisa’s comments: I find this picture very theatrical, the woman completely lives her own show.
Elisa’s comments: I love the two little girls, maybe they’re twins, but the strongest character for me is the little girl on the right side of the frame that seems to invite at the beginning of the show, or it could be the beginning of a novel.
Elisa’s comments: The shot certainly represents how moments of our life look like theatrical show.
Elisa’s comments: Many stories to read just in one shot, I really enjoy that frame.
